Everything you always wanted to know about bCreative. (But were too busy
being creative to ask.)
This company was founded on one simple premise. That
creative people constantly generate cool, marketable
ideas that never see the light of day. Think about it.
How many times a month do you come up with a funny
headline or cool visual and think to yourself,
"that would make a great t-shirt, or poster, or
whatever."
Well, now there's a safe, easy way to make sure those brilliant ideas
don't spend their lives gathering dust in your desk drawer. bCreative
is the perfect way to get ideas in front of reputable manufacturers and
start earning some serious royalties.

This really is a great opportunity for creative people. It's a chance
to see your ideas produced. It's a chance to earn good money. And best
of all, it's a chance to feel the pride of seeing some 300 lb. guy at
the mall wearing one of your designs on a T-shirt. But don't take our
word for it. To find out what can happen if your idea really takes off,

Money. Possibly Lots of It.
With the right idea, any talented creative person can generate significant
income through bCreative. Of course, there are no guarantees that all
your ideas will always tickle the public's fancy, but the more ideas you
submit, the better your chances of hitting a home run. It's that simple.
Here's a cool fact: our most successful creative person has been
submitting ideas in his spare time for over 10 years, resulting in
products that have sold nearly $100 million retail, $45 million at
wholesale. Based on those figures, a 10% royalty would mean over $4.5
million paid to him. Or, in a word, cha-ching.
Obviously, his success is extraordinary, and we while can't guarantee
or control the success of any idea or creative person, the potential
is definitely there.
We even give you additional opportunities to make money by offering
our top Creative Members the chance to earn royalties by working on
special creative projects and requests that come directly from our
manufacturers through our Virtual Creative Department.
Shhhhh. It's private.
We realize how important security (not getting ripped off) is to
you. So we're definitely all over this one. Seriously. Your
submissions can only be viewed by bCreative and our registered
Licensee Members. (No peeking from the public, other creative people,
or non-registered manufacturers.) bCreative also shows all your
creative ideas anonymously. All accepted submissions will be posted
on our site under your User Name (not your full name) so you have
complete control over who knows about your work, and who knows about
the income you're earning.
Your work hours are... whatever.
Creative people can devote as much, or as little, time as they
choose. You can submit a hundred ideas a year. Or one. Of course,
the more you submit, the better your chances. We're also extremely
flexible when it comes to HOW you submit your ideas. You can work
from any computer with an Internet connection. And, for those without
access to a computer, we'll also accept gladly accept submissions
from our mailman. (He's one of the non-disgruntled postal workers.)
Your mom will be so proud.
Every creative person knows the pride of seeing an idea produced.
What's even better is seeing one of your ideas displayed on actual
products, sometimes all over the world. If the public embraces your
idea, it could literally appear on hundreds of different products,
all over the globe. And since your royalties are based directly on
the success of your idea you will, at last, be paid on the strength
of your creativity, rather than by the hour, or project.
How the money is split.
Here's the formula. Typically, if you as an individual approach a
manufacturer or publisher on your own (not through bCreative), you are often
not even allowed to submit your idea without signing an non-disclosure
agreement, which at times takes away many of your valuable rights. Then, if
the manufacturer or publisher wants to use your idea, because of your
inexperience in licensing, they typically will offer you only a couple
hundred dollars, or at most, a royalty of between 1% and 3% of the licensed
product's wholesale sales. At bCreative, because we are a well-known
provider of successful licenses, we typically receive a royalty of 10% of
the licensed product's wholesale sales. And we currently pay our Creative
Members a MINIMUM of 40% of the total royalty received by bCreative. That
means a Creative Member usually makes about a 4% royalty of the wholesale
sales generated by their idea. It's definitely a good deal. Especially
because bCreative does all the licensing and business work, allowing you to
focus your efforts on creating great ideas.
How to Submit Ideas
It's incredibly simple. You decide what format to present your idea
in. It can be pretty much anything - final art, a simple comp, a
rough sketch, typed description, whatever communicates your idea in a
simple, easy-to-understand way. (For a small charge, bCreative will
even create a comp for you.)
Remember, it is definitely NOT necessary to submit final art. In
fact, many manufacturers would rather create the art themselves, or
work together with you to make sure it's exactly what their customers
want.
After that, you simply submit your idea through our website. Or, if
that's not possible, through the mail. The idea submission process
is explained in detail in information available after you join as a
Creative Member.
It's darn cheap.
There is currently no charge for a creative person to join bCreative
or to submit their initial ideas. Each new Creative Member is given 4
complimentary credits to get started (it takes one credit to submit
an idea online). More information about credits can be found in the
information sent to you when you request to
join as a Creative Member.
Who actually buys your ideas?
Not to brag or anything, but our roster of Licensee Members reads
like a Who's-Who of the consumer products industry. We have
relationships with companies that represent literally thousands of
different products around the world. Apparel. Caps. T-shirts.
Posters. Greeting Cards. Calendars. Sporting Goods. Music & Video.
Toys & Gifts. Home Décor. And best of all, these manufacturers
already have licensing agreements with us, so when they see an idea
of yours they like, it's only a phone call away from being added to
their product line.
You always own the idea.
This is crucial to most creative folks. Without getting into 50
paragraphs of legal jargon, the creative person always maintains
ownership of their intellectual property in the designs and concepts
they submit to bCreative. For a specified period of time, you
basically grant bCreative the exclusive right to represent and
sub-license out the ideas that you submit to us. We'll send you more
details on the legal stuff when you request your application to
join as a Creative Member.
So get wild. Have some fun. And start submitting those great ideas
that we know you come up with. Sure cracking your friends up with a
funny joke or impressing them with a beautiful design that you create
is a good time. But it ain't nothin' compared to cashing a check with
lots of zeros in it.
